Iron Blow Mine
The Iron Blow open cut mine lies between the Towns of Gormanston and Queenstown. The  orebody  was mined from  1883  until 1929. It was  worked as a gold mine for 10 years before the discovery of vast deposits of copper. 
The open cut mine is now a tourist attraction.
